Hi,
Can anyone reccomend a camera bag for my 40D. I've just purchased the camera so only have the kit lens at the moment but will be looking to purchase some lenses in the new year (when funds have been found;) ). I quite like the idea of a ruck sack style bag but have also looked at shoulder type.

Thanks in advance!

I prefer a ruck sack style, check out LowePro's range.

There are endless camera bags to choose from, and in the end it comes down to practicality and personal choice.

I use a Dakine sequence for more serious landscape field trips, a Lowepro mini trekker for familly day trips and I also use a Lowepro slingshot 200 for occational use.

For comfort in carrying a load all day, you can't beat the rucksack type, but it's a pain in the butt continually unhooking yourself from it to change lenses etc.

The shoulder bag type make it easier to get at the gear, but it can be heavy on the shoulder on a long day.

You shoulda asked "Which two bags?" :D

Rucksack - the Redsnapper (SY613) is excellent for about £50 less TP discount. Available from Joe - you can find the link in the shopping section. The bag will take a 40D with 70 - 200 f4 L attached plus lots of other goodies and has a waterproof cover that works.
