Dixons are currently listing this kit for £943.55 (not mentioned in camera pricebuster) less £50 using "save 50" coupon = £893.55 then claim Canon cashback of £70, that makes it £823.55.
At that price I am tempted.
 
Tried the voucher through to checkout and it works.
 
They have this morning changed the offer so you have to spend over £999 to get £50 off so now you only get £25 off bringing the price up to £848.55, still a decent saving.

I just logged into one of Canon's trade only distributors websites.. and this is what i found on that package.

Yes it would cost me £850+vat+£12delivery to buy it trade !! and they have no stock !!

'HIGH5' (I'm not sure when it expires) gives you 5% off (£47.17) £896.37.

If you have an Egg card go via their website for 3% instant cashback (£26.89) £869.48

And then Canon cashback £70 leaves £799.48 for the kit.

You could sell the lens on an auction site for maybe £220 and you would have a 40D body for about £580

Thanks for that wills, it just so happens I remembered I have an egg card that I used just once to buy a laptop from Dixons ..........and I have just used it a second time to buy the kit:D
 
Just had another look in on Dixons website and they are no longer listing the 40D for some reason, not even listed as out of stock :shrug:so looks like I have got my order in just in time........or too soon if it comes back cheaper:(
