400mm f2.8 prices

Prices on eBay appear to be coming down! Just seen two 400mm f/2.8 non-IS go for £1830 and £1,900. An IS version reached £2,801. All three sellers had 100% and a long track record of sales.

If this keeps up, Christmas may come early

the thing is that the 2 which went for £1830 and £1900, if i am not mistaken happened to be mk1 version of the 400 f2.8, the mark2 versions seem to be bringing more, because of the age and optical quality, compared to the mark1's

yes the 2 for less than 2k are Mk1 NON IS versions, the Mk 2 has IS and is a lot more at the moment.

Wrong, the mk2 is also non IS, the IS version isnt any revision it was a totally new model therefore the 400 f/2.8 L non IS are mk's 1 and 2
