400d vs 40d

Looking at Welsh Dan's photos, there's not actually that much difference between the 40D and 400D at ISO 1600 except for a bit less chroma noise in the 40D shot, I always thought the 40D would be a lot better than the 400D... :-S

Beleive me, it is! As SterwartR says, the noise gets lost in compressing for web. You need to see the full sized images, side by side, to really see the difference.
