been reading about on here and had some naughty ideas.



Is this really a whorth while upgrade, things im really looking for are better IQ, better iso handling, build and size in my hand.

is the 30d alot bigger than the 400d

i can sell my 400d for £250 ish, and hope to get a £330 30d, its an easily affordable upgrade, but is it really worth it ?

besides the auto clean, what will i miss from the 400d ?
 
definetly worthwile. i cant think of anything you will miss from the 400d. :thumbs:
 
The 30D just feels so much more sturdy and comfortable than the 400D.

Its a no brainer really. ;)
 
its what i am going to be doing once i retire my 400D. As you mentioned you only lose 2MP but the rest of its ability makes up for any shortfal that you would ever notice. The handling is a big feature for me.
 
whats a good price to pay.

im worried about swapping my nice new(ish) camera for a used 30d, but my warranty has expired so, there both in the same boat really.

also whats my 400d worth, all boxed with everyhting, but no lens ?
 
i have been thinking about this myself but for the 40d but i have decided to wait on the 50d coming into my price range so maybe 4-6 months

I'm planning on trading my lovely 400D for a 40D after xmas (if i can hold out that long!).

I had a look on ebay and a 400D body only tends to go for around £220-230.

well i jsut won a 30d for £230, i think for a straight swap its a pretty good upgrade.
 
lucky you! i am so not good at waiting but figure there may be some bargains after xmas...fingers crossed.
 
im not good at waiting, i jsut spotted it and thought why not lol.

it never even crossed my mind to get a new body.
