Whats the difference really, am i right in saying that you keep better image quality when cropping shots on the 50d:shrug::shrug:
 
50D is one generation newer than the 400D and also one model range higher (Canon model numbers go up like this : xxxxD, xxxD, xxD and xD)
 
The 50D is amazing at handling high ISO, well compared to my old Nikon D40 it is anyway.
 
the 50d is better in every way to a 400d, except it is heavier (imo a good thing) and more expensive, and if you have cheap glass it shows it up with its higher pixel density

@ thompo its actually worse at some iso's than a 40d (due to the smaller pixels) according to some reviewers - i have never used a 40d so dont take this as gospel

oh and its lush (I had a 400 and 450d before my 50d :P)
