As you'll have seen I've got an exhibition in the planning stages.
There's a lot of work to be done and the website isn't yet ready, but I'm now starting to promote it. The private view is invite only, I'm sorry about that but its due to space. If you don't get an invite I'm sorry, but please do stop by during the 3 week run and say hello. I'll be there, 10-5 every day. http://www.portofculture.co.uk/
Thats the first thing. The second thing is linked to the exhibition and its my first ever book. Its going to be published by Liverpool University Press and will be in stores by September, hopefully. It follows on from the exhibition and has the same name. It will feature all the photos exhibited and more. So if you like what you see, come September you can buy a copy. I imagine it will be local stores and hopefully Amazon.
The third thing is another book I'm collaborating on called 0151 366 2008. Its a brilliant concept. 6 photographers are taking photos every day throughout 2008. We're documenting the Capital of Culture through photography like nothing else out there. Come spring 09 you'll be able to buy a beast of a book with every single day there for viewing. Its proving to be quite a task so far since I don't even live in Liverpool. I have to go through the tunnel each trip. But I'm forcing myself to get out there more and find new things to photograph. You'll have seen some examples in my recent Liverpool thread. Thats the sort of thing I'm doing on a daily basis and others are doing what they do best. Music, people, architecture, life, the whole year.
Finally on Feb 13th I'm giving a talk on HDR photography for the British Institute of Professional Photography. Its £10 for non-members and you can pay at the door. If you've ever wanted to see how its done, or have a chat you can. http://www.bippnw.co.uk/
I think that covers everything. I've got to go find 60 glasses.
