Hello all

just a quick thread to see if anyone has used any 3LT or Three Legged Thing Tripods and if they can reccomend them to me?

Im looking at the Carbon Fibre X1

Thanks :)

Lovely colour.

After years of struggling (and failing) with normal centre column tripods I switched to Benbo and I will never ever go back.

I got a Brian and I am very pleased with the quality and it performs perfectly for me. Will be taking it to the States in June so its small fold up size and weight are ideal. There are lots of different tripods out there from all over the world but the support I received from this British company was second to none. Your choice but no complaints from me.....

I've read a lot of good stuff about them but never tried one out myself.

I've had an Eddie for a few months.
It's quite stable, very light and folds down very small.Certainly don't mind lugging it around all day.
Now the bad-I don't find the locking mechanisms on the legs to be that good. They tend to come loose by themselves.I've also got 4 of the locking mechanisms with loose rubber twisters.I have to squeeze very tightly to unlock/lock the legs or the rubber just turns on it's own.Trying to decide whether to get the super glue out or send the thing back under warranty to be fixed. Not sure if the expense of sending it back and time without a tripod is worth it though.

Cheers
Gary

Thanks a lot for the honesty, I saw a parallel thread posted a few days ago where Deckard gave an in depth review of the one I was looking to get and it has persuaded me to take the plunge :D I'll get it ordered when I've finished exams at uni :) I'm more inclined to buy from a British company because I know it will be easier to get support a d that's worth paying the premium for IMHO :)

It's disappointing that these are made in China as looking at the web site I'd assume that they were made in the UK.

At least my Benbo is British :)
