3G Usage Question. HTC desire

Hi,

I have just got an HTC desire and I get 500mb internet within the contract. I see the HTC has GPS and Sat nav, does anyone have any idea how MB this uses? Also any tips on what eats bandwidth and what is fine to use?

ive been using mine constantly as i have no adsl yet..

so thats 2 IMAP email accounts connecting every 30 mins or whatever it is, facebook, browsing, downloading apps, satnav, sometimes tethered to my laptop blah blah

didnt go over.
 
500mb is a lot on a phone
 
If you mean Google Maps, then it depends how you use it.

If you have just map view it uses the least, satellite view uses more and street view uses the most.
 
Have you not got hold of the 3G app that checks the amount of data downloads you use?

I've the Sony Xperia X10 android mobile, which is cool, but the timescape feature with all social network integration absolutely steals data bandwidth and has downloaded a lot, think over 100mb within a week already.

Fair few apps that can check it anyways, wish iphone had the same
 
Get 3G watchdog. Monitor your usage and adjust accordingly. 500MB should be enough though, I doubt you'd get close to that really.
