3d tv with game mode anyone?

Looking to buy my youngest son a 3d tv for his 18th next month... needs to have the built in split game mode.. minimum 32 inch and budget max 500 quid

i have no idea what i am talking about or what i need to look for.. (dont just quote one part of that sentance eh )


any reccomendations please?

Most 3d tvs come with game mode anyway, not sure about split game mode, is that for playing split screen gaming but in 3d where each player cant see the others view because of the 3d setup?

yeagh i think called dual mode... each player sees the full screen of the telly.. but only there side of the game...

I know it can be done wiht any glasses on a passive 3d tv.. but i want a proper deicated to dual mode.. LG do them but not sure who else and which models best.... presumed someone would have been through this

yeagh thats the workaround i mentioned.. can be done on any passive tv with special glasses.. but certain tvs have dual game mode built in.. as i say some lg do.. but struggling to fnd anyone who ahve tried and know which si best.... prefer the dual mode in telly rather than the glasses workaround

like i say... not 100% sure what I am on about I do know LG have a dedicated full screen dual player game mode... googled while answering this and yes it seems sony might have as well now

I didn't understand that yet I'm 21 and partial to the odd bit of gaming.

Just looked at the links and that is pretty impressive (yet a surprisingly simple concept) tech.

I'm envisaging a far better use:

I can watch things that are actually interesting on the TV while the OH watches a badly acted, completely predictable soap of her choice.

there is indeed a dedicated mode for dual play that you select in telly..tried it out.. works good..

te only negative comments i could find was about the sound.. we decided if a problem he could add speakers blah blah.. however it sounds great.. turned it up sounds great... strange comments.. telly is brilliant..

This is mental, your telling me that you can pay a 2 player game on one tv and each player can only see their part on the WHOLE screen ?

I am way behind on the TV tech, I'm in the market for one too
