Daily 365 Photos 2013.

Damn i've missed so many, i've really got behind!

I love all of your photos so it's hard to pick favs... but i do love the wing mirror shot and the flowers in the grass, such lovely processing!

looking forward to seeing more of mouse too:D:D

Thank you very much everyone! I'm going to try and catch up with everyone tomorrow! :D

Today's is lovely, not flowers I'd have put together at all, but they work really well - kind of quirky.

Thanks! I don't know anything about flowers, I just liked the colours  I bought a little planting pot thingy today though... wondering if I could plant a dahlia or 2 in it?

It was gorgeous! From the little farm foods market in the garden center :D

Well, guys. We've finally had some good news! My mum got the results of her pet scan today and the cancer is ONLY in her lungs. It hasn't spread anywhere!! Oh, the relief.

Now, we wait for an appointment with the surgeon. The first appointment will go over everything. Then we wait again for another appointment where she'll be cut just below the throat and a camera inserted to look for any rogue cells behind her chest bone. If she's given the all clear, we wait for a surgery date to remove at least 1/3rd of her lung followed by a blast of chemo. If there are rogue cells, we wait for 3 months of chemo and radiation to try and shrink them before onto the surgery.

Her close friend has the exact same type and she's just finished her 3 months of chemo and radiation as she had rogue cells.

Also, it was feeding day for Mouse. His first with me and he ate it :D

Now... today!

Day 100. by Toni Darling Photos, on Flickr

 didn't have a clue and forgot my camera in the house all day :bonk:

Hmm not sure I like the processing on this, it looks like you've face planted in a bag of flour :D

Excellent news about your mum, so very pleased for you all :D

Great news it hasn't spread! My mums best friend was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago, and was given 6 months to live, she's been treated for MS for years, and now they've realised it was cancer of her bones all along. It has now spread to her whole body.
Having it diagnosed in just one place should mean it's easy enough to treat, and she will be well on the way to recovery in no time! :D

How did he like his first meal by the way? Do you feed him mice?

! It's just a filler, I hate it myself!

Thank you :D

Thanks Jake! That's really awful :shake:

I haven't seen him since! He's hiding away :) But yeah, mice! Little day old baby mice

That is wonderful new Toni!

Thanks T :)

Glad you've had some better news Toni.
Again, not too sure on the processing here, there is also quite a sharp line between the focus and blur along your eyebrows that could do with softening to make it look more natural.

Thank you!

Haha yeah, there's nothing too great about the photo at all  Just a place holder, really! I reeeeally really couldn't be bothered yesterday. Almost threw in the towel :bonk:

This was taken around 4 o'clock this morning but exif is reading almost midnight last night  Playing about with lighting.. I like it.

Day 101. by Toni Darling Photos, on Flickr

Good news regards your Mum - :)

What I want to know though is what did you really feed mouse????

Thanks!

Meeces

Hey Toni, good news about your mum :) and again just some excellent shots since I was last in here

Thank you :D

Not so easy with no tripod (broke it!), a gripped 5D (heavy as hell and big... balanced between my chest and chin!), no live view and a 50mm lens

Sorry not commented here for ages, been following along on Flickr...

Number 102 is genius, got to try something similar.

I really like the lighting in 101 too. I love playing around with lighting, when you get the right intensity and angle you know it immediately...

Love day 103 - excellent idea - the reverse arms length selfie :D

102 and 103 are great! :D

102 - very clever :)

Thanks guys! 102 was a bit of a filler but I like it! Would have been better with a lens other than the 50mm though

And another couple of fillers. My heart just hasn't been in it.

102 great idea! Sounds comical trying to get that shot lol
Both flowers are lovely too my fav is the first, nice Tones

Thought I'd commented on these - must've been on Flickr - I really like 104, it's quite beautiful.

haha it was... amusing! Thank you! :D

Great flowers :) my mind is still racing with how I can do something along the lines of shot 102 !!!!!

Thanks!  give it a better go than I did!

Like the idea of 102, very well executed as well. I like the first of the flower shots as well, the white on the plain background works well.

Thanks Sarah!

Yep, got it on Flickr! Thanks very much!

This one was fun... planned on having my mum or Colin hold the spoon for me but no one else is home... A gripped 5D is HEAVY to hold at such an odd angle and back button focus one handed...

Great news about your Mum, Toni - hope the next stage goes smoothly for both of you!

I like 101 as well and the subject is interesting as well - 102 is brilliant and such a funny image of you comes to mind reading your description! :D

I prefer your first flower and today's is a very colourful breakfast!

That is gorgeous - the polka dots behind just make it - excellent DOF and processing.

Yeah just seen this one on Flickr. I think it's awesome. I love how you have a polka dot background, and the bowl is round, and the cheerios are little rings and the colours and the focus etc. etc.

Ok I pinched your idea with 102 and posted it as my PotD. Alright, your image is much better than mine, but I used the flash. Beat that! ;)

Haha! I'll need to go see it :D

Love this one Toni, very classy shot.

Thanks guys! The breakfast made Explore apparently

Breakfast is excellent I agree with Sarah the polka dots give it an edge

Thanks T :D

Yikes.. it's been busy around here. Finally got a deposit together and I honestly lost count of the amount of houses we viewed. One had mould half way up all the walls! The last thing my mum needs. Our days have literally been taken up with that... and then we found one! Put the deposit down and then our time was filled with getting things for the house. So far, I've bought a coffee table and TV stand. We're moving from a partially furnished house to unfurnished and I've still to buy a bed, mattress, wardrobe and chest of drawers for my mum. A bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table and a bookcase for my room, a shelving unit for the kitchen and I'll have enough left over to decorate. After that, it'll just be the little accessories that make a house a home.

/ramble. Anyway...

(these books are sitting on the bookshelf I plan to buy haha)

Day 109. Bookish. by Toni Darling Photos, on Flickr

And breathe....

I'll be back to catch up with everyone over the weekend! Hoping for a bit of calm... but I doubt it :bonk:

Congratulations on finding a new nest :D How exciting :D

Pick for me is the Owl, love it.

Thank you! :D

A quickie at the end of the day because I forgot and just couldn't be bothered... This 365 lark is becoming a chore.

Day 110. Colin. by Toni Darling Photos, on Flickr

After picking up a new snake, Kit. Only got eating photos of him which I'm sure no one wants to see

Oh Toni you've not let your mister out for a while  Definitley better than an eating snake:) What sort of snake is it?

I could have gone for a snake eating... But they'd have to be dramatic and like something from a zombie film ... Wait...I'm being gross here...

Good portrait though. Whose Da man..he is ..except if kit is male..then maybe the snake is......I'm rambling now.....

Exciting times, moving home and I will have a massive moving in drink in your honour of you when you do!! :D

That Owl is a lovely one - so cute just peeking up there! And the flower is beautiful! I also like the way the linear lines of the books juxtapose (love that word) against the patterns on the wall......................

........................and I, too, am glad to see Colin..when you talked about furniture for 'your' bedroom, I got all 'oooh, what's going on there, then' :lol:
