Daily 365 Photos 2013.

You're 365 is so refreshing when I visit it! Not sure why, just love how you process shots. Last 2 are no exception, especially love the pig head! That made me chuckle :D

Cool magazine feature  and today's photo is wonderful it's so simple and elegant

Thanks! :D

What a fantastic shot lovely quality to it

Thank you :) This one got a lot of likers elsewhere. Happy!

Aww, that's lovely! Thank you very much! :D

I haven't been to bed yet... and if I go to sleep now, I can't promise the light will still be around when I wake up. I've had an idea in my head since not long after I posted yesterdays photo... we'll see how that pans out if I stay awake long enough to take it!

I've yet to end the day with no clue what I'm going to try and shoot the next day... I'm dreading the day that isn't the case!! :bonk:

Thanks Lynn :)

Day 16. Wanderlust. by Toni Darling Photos, on Flickr

Not what I had in my head today. I didn't even attempt what I had my head. Ugh, I just couldn't be bothered if I'm honest. So I guess this is just a filler piece to keep my place.

Hi Toni, love the tulip shot, wonderful DOF. I'll be honest Day 16 doesn't work for me, sorry, although I can see what you were aiming to do.

Thanks Simon :) It's not really working for either haha. I've had an awful day mood wise though so it's the best I was going to get... I just wanted to stay in bed all day. I couldn't decide if either image worked better on its own or both as a diptych so made my husband choose and he went with this. You can't win 'em all I suppose! Hopefully tomorrow will be better :)

Certainly one of the aspects of a 365 is that we'll all get days like that :), lol I hit that wall last week, but hey tomorrow's another day :thumbs::thumbs:

Exactly! :D I'll have to see what I can come up with tomorrow :D

I like the concept of two different angles for wanderlust ...the lighting control is great. Assuming natural daylight.....I'm intrigued what idea you dare not even attempt.. I always try my ideas. When standing outside drenched in ice cold water on a freezing winter day....and can see the photo hasn't worked...?!?!

Thank you! Yep, natural daylight :) My idea would have seen me lying in the snow, soaking wet... I just couldn't face it!

That's my idea for today....................and I'm mad enough to attempt it.............just found out its -8 outside ....... Sad aren't I :(

Well, have to admit that I am idea less today too :( Something will come up though ;)

I like the top part of your tryptych, you have caught the focus on your nearest eye just perfectly. What do the tattoos say on your hand?

I hate off days! i know if i wake grumpy or have no idea what to shoot i get even more annoyed.... hope your day is better today:D

Have I?? Oh no.... "lead thee not into temptation" .. I am evil..... I have chocolate.... Uh oh....

Hah!! Mmmm chocolate... wait, what!?

Toni chin up gal today is another day !! 365 challenge tests us all !!!

We all have off days, don't worry about it, it's not as if the shot is a bad one or you just didn't even bother to take one. You still did it, so that's a good point.

Thanks guys :) My knuckles say "viva hate" (Morrissey). Today isn't much better! Haven't even taken a photo yet  I think I've caught the sickness bug off my husband... I've slept the majority of the day but still found the time to be awake to vomit 6 times

I spent a lot of last night thinking about the upgrade I was going to be doing next month and... I don't think I want to  I'm not limited by my current camera... I'm pleased with the results I get from it.. it's not the best at high ISO but that's okay; I rarely need to use it at high ISO and, when I do, I'm not disgusted by the results. So I think I'm going to keep it and get 35mm f2 lens for it and the Fuji x100 as a 2nd, more compact walkaround. I rarely take photos when I'm out and about because I'm very self conscious of the attention the "big" camera brings. The aesthetics of the x100 means I'll probably still get some looks but I don't think I'll get as much. Plus.... I just bloody love it! I spent a long time going through the x100 owners thread and just fell even more in love  Also for times like travelling... I don't travel much but would like to travel more, maybe. We went to Krakow on our honeymoon and all I have are average compact camera photos because I didn't have space in my luggage for the Canon... Plus, I just bloody love it :p

Now to go and see what I can shoot today...

Catching up with your latest posts.. The flower is really lovely, and I like your diptych selfy :)

I enjoyed the magazine scans, looks like you have some lovely photos there; and congratulations!

Try as I might, I cannot get this completely straight. Because of what it is and the only available surface I had, it won't all be straight. If I straighten the right, the throws out the left and vice versa. I straightened the middle "V". It'll have to do!

Day 17. by Toni Darling Photos, on Flickr

Another quickie today... but one I actually really like! I'd had other plans for today's photo but those required natural light and I spent all of the "day" part of today asleep... oops! I like this. It was, in part, inspired by Sarah's day 16 :p

Now I need to go drool over the x100 some more... and cry that this next month is going to go horrendously slow...

No idea what it is but it is bright and eye catching.

please say these are curtains or fabric that IS creased... as my eyes are playing tricks and i can see creases... love the abstract-ness of this piece.....

Oh, I do like that - see abstract is fun :D

I can't make my mind up about this one. I think i like it...

Thanks guys :) Tim, I wasn't sure either when I first took it but it quickly grew on me :D

   thank you ;)

(it's a table runner - so fabric - from our wedding  )

great shot Toni and have to agree with you about the camera - one compact type camera would be better as you say - just get some nice new lenses with the rest :)

Have to look for a few seconds and then come out of it as it is driving my eyes mad (I'm tired lol) but it is a good one :)

Haha thanks Carol! It makes my eyes go a bit funny too

The x100 is more expensive than the 5D but I think it makes more sense for me to go in that direction.

I gotta laugh at day 17! I can just imagine you struggling to get that beast vertical!!! Here's my best guess... you've gone and managed to create your own optical illusion :). Because it's not totally symmetrical (there's an extra dip on the left that isn't on the right) no matter what you do it won't look level

Love it as an abstract though, really clever shot.

And as for the day 16 filler, wish my fillers were that good! :)

Haha I tried for about 10 minutes, realised I was fighting a losing battle and gave up

But thank you! Day 16 grows on me the more I look at it... I still can't decide whether one would work better on its own though! The bottom one, maybe.

Thanks Matt :D

I have an ebay basket worth £549.39. Living Dead Dolls (used to collect them when I was a moody teen... fallen back in love!), lego (fallen for all the wee characters in the mini figures series...) and a cheapie film scanner. Hah. They'd make epic photo props and bulk out the 365 ;) Yikes. I'll buy a couple of things a month... that way my husband won't notice ;)
