Yes
I recently partook in a PhotoWalk with a really cool twist.

We were only allowed to take a max of 36 pictures
The display was taped so we had no instant feedback
Once the ISO is set, it can't be changed
Try to shoot 100% manual and get your exposures right by yourself

It's taking your digital camera and making it emulate a film camera with 1 roll of film fresh from it's aluminium wrapper.

What's really good about this is that it really make you slow down and think about your picture ... and often walk away when the subject or light isn't right.
It helps boost your creativity and look at a subject from alternate angles prior to taking your picture. Not just that, manually setting your exposures really makes you think about whats in the viewfinder and how you want the picture to look.

So, my challenge to you is to tape up your camera and try it.
Share your experience, what you learned and the images you took.

To put my money where my mouth is .... here's my images: http://www.callumw.com/blog/photowalk-november-2010/
Beyond colour correction, contrast alteration and minor cropping, all results are pretty much from the camera.

Now it's your turn

I recently did the same thing - but I was fortunate enough to get hold of a battered old F3 that all my lenses would fit and I work at a branch of Jessops so dev and scanning was no problem. Really made me take less pictures and think a lot more before expending each precious frame. Totally agree, would well recommend it. I'm thinking about making a black card that I can slip in under my screen protector on a regular basis...

Just had a look at the final images...really interesting angles!

I'll have a try at this once I have some spare time and post my results up.

i tried this too, good excercise for those who never shot film
