Hi

I need an advice regarding projectors.
I was always impressed by the quality, sharpness and colours of an image displayed using a traditional projector with 35mm slides / transparencies. Images projected look absolutely incredible.
However, 35mm slides are very expensive, in the region of £2 a slide. Can you tell me if I can get similar picture quality using a good digital projector projecting digital files from my laptop?

I would be grateful for opinions of someone having a direct comparison.

Thank you

Not sure where you're getting your slides, but AG Photographic charge £8.50 for development of 35mm E6 mounted in a slide frame. On a 36exp reel that's 23p/slide. (Sorry - cant help with digital vs slide resolutions)

Yes slides are expensive, but as Ian says hardly £2 each. Film E6 & mount about £25 all-in for 36 frames.

Hmm... Looks like I need to do more research. Are these prices applicable to converting digital files to 35mm slides?

No.

I guess you are getting your digital files converted to 35mm slides and that is why it's £2 a slide?
Slide film plus developing costs shouldn't be £2/per slide.
