35mm Film canisters

Hi Folks

As some of you may know i'm a head ranger with the National Trust and my team urgently need to get hold of about 50 or so film pots (preferably the black ones but translucent will do in a pinch) for a geocaching event.

we've tried asking the local photo shops without result (seems since the advent of this new fangled digital marlarkey they don't have large stocks of pots hanging about any more)

So I though i would try asking you guys - if anyone can help please let me know and i'll message you the address to send them to (we are happy to cover postage within reason)

Equally if anyone has any ideas for where else we could get them from that would also be great

I'll have a look but I think the last large batch ended up at the boys nursery and I've not been shooting much 35mm.

Tried your local Asda? If they've got a photo machine they probably have a higher through put than the smaller shops.

And you could probably try Ilford themselves. They might have rejects or be able to do you a deal.

Give SnappySnaps in Exeter a bell - they're pretty much the only place locally I can think of that does in house D&P. I doubt they'll separate the black ones out for you and you might get more than you want/need.

We (peak imaging) save all ours for someone who does just that but if you ring up I think you'd be able to get some.
We've just sent a box full though so are a bit low, but we soon fill up again, you'd have to cover postage. No need to name check me, just ring and ask.

I got some from ebay as i didnt like the clear ones that came with the film. i dont think they were very expensive.

My last lot came from pre-pop Jessops when they were opposite LCE. Ironically, I recycled all the black ones since Dad wanted the semi see through ones for storing small parts for his model rail accessories.
