Okay, so I want a cheap and cheerfull FULLY MANUAL body that will fit Canon EF lenses.

I don't want to faff around with automatic film winding, metering, autofocus, or any of that tripe.

I literally just want it to be fully manual, but take canon ef lenses.

I'm assuming they don't exist?

didnt ef come in with the eos bodies in the 80's? wasn't the first one digitally controlled :P
looks like you want fd or fl sorry boss

Nope they don't exist

The last of the 'T' range of Canon FD range were auto wind T90, T70, T80 plus the start of the multi mode cameras (well the Canon A1 predates and that was multi mode camera).

They then redesigned the mount and the EOS system was born, multi mode, auto focus auto wind and taking EF lens only.

You're right, they don't exist.

If you want a proper manual camera, get an Olympus OM-10. Or Canon FD system such as an A-1 or AE-1.

Or, get an EOS and don't use all the features!

Those were the days...

Yep - Canon EF-M. Quite a few on ebay.

but none of the ones above are fully manual ,neither is the canon ef m ,

Get a canon a1 easily find one on ebay for less than £50 with the kit 50mm 1.8

Would there be a conveter from FD to EF? that would solve the problem

Was the first EF mount not the EOS 650 ?

Yep EOS 650 and 620 introduced in 1987 was the first of the EF-AF lens mounted cameras.

I remeber trying to sell the Canon EF-M, which was virtually impossible, for a couple of quid more you could get the EOS-1000N which was a much better camera. Think we sent all the EF-M's back to Canon.

Fair point. You can avoid power wind and AF but fully manual metering is harder to avoid as an option. The question is why must they be avoided?

because
