32gb sd card £60

Rather an excessive size, I try not to use anything over 4 gig incase of card failure or corruption. Need to be a brave soul to use them I think...

Class 4 so it's a slow card, but speed isn't everything.

Why would anyone want one? A bit risky keeping 32gb's worth of images on one card. How many images do you reckon you could get on there?

I think my daughter had 700 images on a 4Gb card using an Ixus 85 so that would be a measly 5600 on 32Gb card

I agree ... but ... think back a few years, to when 1GB cards were just appearing, didn't we say the same thing, "bit risky keeping all your pics on one card. I'd rather use 4 x 256MB or 2 x 512MB"?

I guess that's progress for you. How long before Terabyte cards appear?

True - good point, although I think card sizes have grown faster than pixel counts.

Would this work in a D40 without any issues, or should I really just stick with an 8GB Sandisk?

Stick with the Sandisk.

I have to agree although Lexar have as good a reputation.

I only ever use Sandisk and use a combination of 4GB and 8Gb cards. 16Gb seems like venturing into eggs in one basket territory.
