I have CS5 Extended 32 bit, if I upgrade my computer to a 64 bit system will it still run?

Thanks for that, will there be any difference in how it works, speed etc.

yes, although i dont see why you would want to. youll be severely limiting the memory you can use (assuming you have more than 3.5gb).

dont you get 32 and 64 bit versions in newer adobe apps? LR you do.

Yup. Just dig out the original disks and reinstall for full 64-bit yumminess.

The 32 bit is optional, I normally deselect it on illustrator.

I think it only became optional in CS6.

The article in the above link says it's not optional in CS5, CS4 (and CC?):

.............."Photoshop CS5 and CS4 install a 32-bit and a 64-bit version when you install on a 64-bit version of Windows 7, Vista, and XP. If you are using the 32-bit version of Windows, then Photoshop only installs the 32-bit version. Photoshop CS6 allows you to choose one or both of these versions to install. Photoshop CC installs both versions."

I'm running CC, and only have Photoshop x64 installed, no x86 CC for me ;)
