3 Year warranty worth it?

What are peoples thoughts on the value of a 3 year warranty on a Nikon D7000 body?

I'm looking to buy, thinking of part exchanging my current D70 + original kit lens. I have a 3 options

1) UK Body price £899, Standard Nikon UK warranty (2 years?), PX allowance £140

2) UK Body price £899, Standard Nikon UK warranty + extension to 3 years, PX allowance £110

3) Imported body price £849, 3 year warranty (3rd party - HDEW), no PX

Thoughts and opinions please

Hang around on here, sell the D70 for £140 in classifieds, and do the 2nd option.

Definitely sell the D70+lens on here as you should be able to get £150 at least in a private sale.

Having said that, if you can still buy the camera and pay only an extra £30 for the extra warranty, it is definitely worth it.

I had initially considered ebay but after looking at sold prices worked out that after fees I would probbaly end up with around £140 with the potential for less money and more hassle!

I was shocked at the wide range px values offered. The lowest was from a well known major camera retailler in sussex whoi offered £80, a local independent was £100 and a major retailer in London was the top end at £140. Did get one higher offer of £150 but the body was £50-£60 more to start with!
