The Togo football team had there bus attacked and shot at while they was in there team bus. The assistant coach, press officer and driver were killed. All the players are in shock while 2 of them are injured, the team is going to pull out of the Africa Cup of Nations. Man City's Adebayor was on that bus as well as Villa's Salifou. I find this really upsetting news and has shocked me how people can do this. Here's some of the comments from the bbc:

"You cannot sleep after what we have seen - one of your team-mates with bullets in his body in front of you, crying and losing consciousness. It is very difficult."

"I don't think any of the players will be able to sleep after this," said Adebayor, who admitted they were all still in shock.

Here's the link if anyone wants to read about it more: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/africa/8449611.stm

RIP to those that died and thoughts to there familys as well as the 2 injured and the rest of the team.

BBC News website yesterday kept updating their article headlines, "Togo to quit tournament" "Togo may quit" "Togo under pressure to stay" "Togo Quits" As if the tournament was more newsworthy than than poor buggers getting shot.

I doubt that world cup in africa is a very good idea, it seems to be so many social problems over there.
Just imagine getting bit drunk after the game, where slums are just 500 meteres away, the slums where people were killed and burnt alive 2 years ago in racial riots (anti immigrant riots) do you remember that? I expect huge number of people being victimized.
Though SA its a lovely country i dont think its ready for such an event.
