Hello,

I have a group shot this week, which consists of 3 brothers and 1 sister. buit stuck for ideas on how to pose this sort of group as this is the first time it hasn't been families with young children.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thank You

Depends on the ages and the family in question I guess.

3 Brothers "ganging up" on the sister and her beating them down (works that my way my house  )

The boys holding the Sister lying across their arms.

Boys lying on the ground in disaray with the Girl standing over them victoriously (can you see a theme developing here?)

Otherwise standard poses for other groups using different heights, stools, etc.

If the kids are a bit older then you could shoot rock band style. Lower viewpoint , all looking mean with arms folded, etc. Process in black and white. I'm going to be doing this one with my four. Shoot all separate to get consistent lighting on black background then photoshop them together.

All four lying on the ground with heads together shot from above.

Framed. Use an empty photo frame attached to a white vinyl sheet with a hole cut in it. Have the kids lean out of the frame looking in different directions, pulling faces, etc then make a composite from the best four. This looks good as a panoramic or 2 x 2 square.

If you already know the family you may be able to get some ideas upfront. If not you need a few different ones to see what works.
