As above, how can I dispose of a large quantity (a few hundred...) of the blooming things? Ideally recycling rather than landfill. If anyone wants/needs any, they're more than welcome - free to anyone who wants to collect them!

AIUI, the cases are polystyrene so burning is a bit nasty. I remember checking them all several years ago when I had a machine with a drive for them and formatting any that had anything on them. Now want/need the shelf space so they've got to go! Bin, looks like.

Well there would be nothing against you putting them in your recycling bin assuming you have one you have plastic...should be recyclable...you've got metal...certainly recyclable :)

Might phone the council and see what they say! Probably "NO" since the diskettes would need to be stripped down to their component parts which would be more trouble (to them and me!) than it's worth.

Don't think I've got enough. Besides, I intend to stick with plain Win8!
