2x Elinchrom D Lite IT's on one Vagabond Mini

Has anyone used this combination, hard to find an exact answer on US forums wether this would actually work.

I understand that it is fine to run a single head from the 230V Vagabond Mini, but as soon as you power two there are some problems. Curious to see if anyone has tried this and can provide a concrete answer as I'm in the market for some additional onlocation lighting.

If not, what do you use as power on location? Budget can't quite stretch to changing to 2 Elinchrom Quadra's yet!

Personally, being in the UK, I'd take a trip to the flash centre and have a look at the innovatronixz which they now import.

There's a video on tfc website of the xplorer with d lites. Think they said something like 1000+ full power flashes in one charge

They can be used and they do charge just not at the same rate, seems as if the power alternates between the two charges. All shown in the video i've linked to above.

Me too location power is my next step, one way or the other

I use the Dlite IT 4/2 with an explorer XT on location, NEVER had a problem. it comes with a car charger and fires all day long no problem. I don't use the modelling lamps though to reduce power consumption

Do you run both heads at the same time? Is it the XT se you've got?

yes, both heads at the same time and no it's not the "SE" ....I think? not sure now, I'll check...nope, not an SE
