2nd Hand Van and Warranty Issues

The OP did. Look further back in the thread. ;)
The op stated he knew about the advisories, there was no statement made either way whether it was fixed, or not, or actually really required. An advisory is just that.

OP said " it needs a new tyre and wiper blades". I'd take that as it hasn't been done.

Well just a quick update.
The van is parked outside my house, fixed at no charge to me (as it should be!)

The sales people took heed to the conversation I had yesterday after they told me it would not be fixed when they said it would be fixed.

Good for you - glad it's sorted out now

Result

So what was the actual problem in the end? something simple?

I've not had chance to check it out, but I believe the power steering pump failed.
They dropped it off this morning. The thing is I'm at work, so instead of dropping the key in my letter box, they know my address, they have hidden the key in the cab.

So left my van unlocked all day...

Or if the van has auto locking...... And only one key..

100% sure it will not auto lock whilst key is inside.or be locked by a spare key while one is still inside.

I'm sure my ford focus did. I took my key out and dropped it in the car

Well my van is there, he had another fit of common sense and did indeed post it at my house :)
Test drive after tea to see if it works....

May have been faulty, have tried this before on both my Civic, and Citroen work van, neither will lock while a key remains inside.

Mine will but the doors can be opened... Not an oxymoron, it's got proximity sensors.
