28-70 needs repair - Gutted

I bought a AFS 28-70 2.8D off the classifieds on here last year for £540 and the focus is sticking - just had a repair cost of £416!!! Gutted to say the least.

Sounds like a home insurance claim to me, didn't you drop it and it smashed itself up badly ?

If you have accidental damage go for it.
give the insurance company a call and just tell them you dropped it and sound them out.

The excess (If any) would reduce the cost, if not pay for it altogether...Worth a shot

Its ok Gramps ive accepted it and put it onto a CC, as above these things happen -- on wards and upwards
