Last year, my wife and I walked 2660 miles from the Mexican/US border, through California, Oregon and Washington and in to Canada. It was the adventure of a lifetime. Physically and mentally the toughest thing we have ever done, but oh so worth it!

It has taken me a little while to put together, but I now have finished the video/slideshow documenting our experience. Please pour a beer, pull up a chair, sit back and drift off to the trail!

Sorry Alasdair - 2 hours long. Way too much for me.

I was seriously looking forward to watching this and from what I saw it is very well edited and very interesting. However, I have to agree with the above post. Two hours is far far too long.

I lasted into minute 2 mainly due to a natural love of travelling and Eddie Vedders voice. Please consider making an abridged 10 minute version with just the most prominent pics. the only reason this is so long is because you haven't been choosy with the photographic impact.

I'd like to be involved in this journey. But I'm never going to give you two hours of my life.

I was going to click and watch but if it's two hours I'll have to wait.

If Eddie Vedder is on (I'm thinking 'into the wild) - I may stick it on the dock next to the bed and watch one night when I'm wanting something chilled to drift in and out of.

Edit

Watched a fair bit so far and very good !

I think in years to come you'll really appreciate having this.

Watched about 15 minutes worth and will definitely watch the rest. I remember all the preparation threads and it will be great to get a taste of the experience.

Not bothered that it's 2hrs I've wasted similar amounts of time on things far less interesting (think top gear re-runs on dave!)

Wish I'd done something like this when I was younger!

Certainly looks interesting of what I've skipped though. The patience you must have had compiling it too is admirable

Wow the internet version of Uncle Bob's infamous slide photo show.

It was tedious then and its tedious now.

C'mon man, we're the internet generation, if you have something to say it needs to be 6 photos max and 140 characters of text or we are clicking on some other stuff instead.

:D

Bookmarked, I'll take a look later

Wow, what an awesome achievement!!!! Some good pictures and moments in that video even though I havnt watched it all.

Well done

What a fantastic project!

The story and the images are brilliant but I have to agree that for the general public two hours is far too long. I for one have the attention span of a gnat, but on the other hand I can drop back in to the vid whenever I want and start playing at different points as and when I feel like it.

Thanks for posting

haha... I remember those slide shows all too well.... at least this one is quite epic..... unlike the 2 hours of Cornish tin mines I once had to endure.
