24th Challenge of the week - Warm - Winners Announced

This week the challenge is...

Warm

Any interpretation that you like . . . temperature; warm colours; a warm smile; a warm welcome etc.

It's been too grey and rainy lately, I could do with a bit of warmth (in whatever way to choose to depict it) !

Usual rules apply:

All entries must be new photos, taken within the timeframe of the comp.
Maximum of 3 entries per person.
Limited PP, cropping, exposure control, sharpening etc is okay, multi layered cut and pasting is not.
The winner chooses the theme for the following challenge.

Entries can be posted from 8pm on Thursday 16th until 8pm on Sunday 19th July, with the winner announced later that evening.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what people come up with, but most importantly "Have fun!"

Interesting theme, lots of :thinking:, ended up with this so far, probably tweak this.

Non traditional theme indeed, but gives opportunity to interpret it in multiple ways.

Here is my interpretation :)

Well done everyone on this one . . . with hindsight maybe not the easiest theme.
I can honestly say that I loved all the entries though and it's been hard to pick a winner.

3rd place goes to JennyB.
I definitely got a warm feeling from this one. I love the way that you've captured the flicker of the flames and the reflection in front of the fire.

2nd place to Kiwi Jaz. This came very close to being first place for me. I just thought it was a touch too heavy with the vignette. Really nice interpretation of the theme - definitely a warm, cozy feel to it.



And finally . . . the winner is uniquegardens.
I think the way that the two wine glasses are balanced is pure genius. Although I wonder how much wine you spilled before you got it set up just right!
Lovely clean, crisp photograph and a nice warm glow to all of it. I really loved this one.



Out of the others, Gvozdi - your second one with the bus was very well done. The motion blur adds some real interest to it and billybob, your egg cozy made me smile.

I have only been doing photography for about 6 months, with no formal training. But enjoying it so much!!

Any crit would be great!
 
Congratulations Graham, it was a fantastic and lovely warm shot. You did well to balance that glass too!
Congratulations to Jenny too..lovely capture of the flames.
