So just realised there's a huge Olympics 2012 party to celebrate the handover of the torch taking place on The Mall infront of Buckingham Palace. 40,000 people apparently.

It's tickets only to get onto The Mall, I don't have one but am going anyway (gonna try and either blag my way through or sneak in somehow).

The Red Arrows will also be doing a flyover aswel, REALLY want to get a shot of them flying over the Palace, wanted to get a shot of it a few months back for the Queen's birthday celebrations.

Kinda late notice on this one, I only randomly came across this just now, didn't even realise it was happening!

Oh and also, Team GB are returning on Monday afternoon, Heathrow Terminal 5 (their public appearance at the airport has been cancelled due to heath and safety crap, but i'm thinking of making an appearance to see what I can dig up).
 
Didn't end up going, the weater was awful this morning, pouring with rain and I don't have weather sealed kit.

By the look of it on TV I wouldn't have got anywhere near the Mall anyway so perhaps it was better that I didn't go, looks kinda cheezy too lol. The main reason I wanted to go was for the Red Arrows.
 
I went, didn`t take my SLR and luckily the weather held out.

I was a bit sceptical TBH, but it was quite good. The opera singer was excellent, such a voice and she hardly looked as if she was putting any effort into it.

You definitely wouldn`t have got into the main area without a ticket, they were very strict on it. Mind you, they had a area in St James park with a big screen for people to watch.
