So as title, the manual focus on my canon 24mm f2.8 prime is getting a bit dickey. Sometimes it just doesn't let me engage manual focus.
i rekon this is a good enough reason to get myself a new zoom lens! something like a 17-40L, or 24-70L?
I've had a play with my mates sigma 24-70 f2.8, and that seems really good, albeit i don't really like the very chunky feel.
the 24mm is my main lens, i just love that prime, and even though i normally just let it autofocus, i still use manual now and then.
i only have 1 zoom lens, that's my 70-200, i have 50mm and 24mm primes, but with getting rid of the 24mm, it'll leave a massive gap in focal length. Preferably i'd like to have an apeture of f2.8 all through the focal range.
Can anyone recommend me a lens then? budget will be all dependant on what i see. nothing too expensive, maybe max of about £300. I don't mind getting 2nd hand.
