Anybody know why there's a recent surge from around 90-150 views per day to 2257 views today (so far) on my Flickr account?!

I saw where Robbo had the same - Yahoo home page had linked some of the Groups where droplet photos are... they done the same again? My referrals are all coming from Flickr it says... :thinking:

Either from my own photos, or mostly (but not my much margin) from Explore. 25 of my photos are in explore - but non recently at all. Certainly non in the last day or so.

EDIT! I have worked it out! My highest ever viewed photo, Floating Magenta Splodge was put into explore exactly 1 year ago! So it must be appearing on the "A year ago today" section on Explore... thus people are seeing it and my other photos. Make's sense now!

LOL I just increased it by one :)
 
The other day I had around 11,000 views on my flickr - someone posted a link to one of my images on reddit.com and views went crazy :lol: Got over 6,000 views on that one image alone!
 
haha, cute end to the story. Explore is funny. I don't get any for a year, and then 5 in a row :)

:D Haha... tell me about it. I used to get loads explored... and now none! It's good for exposure, I like it when it happens...

If anyone's interested, the day's not quite out and I am just short of 5000 views for today! Pretty awesome...

I got a link from the front page of gizmodo.com this week.

13,500 views on my photostream in one day. :D

Still trying to work out whether I'm miffed that they hosted their own copy of the image, though... :suspect:
