Yes
I'm just charging the 20D batteries. Is it just me who finds it a damned fiddle to open the battery door unless you've been to Inaglo for one of her nail jobs?

He! he! .... my nails are great for opening battery doors :D

I dont look so cool when Im trying to open those stupid, fiddly, rubber flaps on the side for pc/flash :bang:

Not a problem for me either. I haven't been to Glo but if she is looking for an old hag to practice on, I will certainly prove a challenge.

LOL. Just me then. :D

I'm with you Tonky, biting my nails doesn't help. Thank god for the Battery Grip :D

Thanks Ian, but I meant the door on the battery grip, Back to being just me then. :D

Doesn't the grip have a slider action? Mine does (although its 30D, may be different?)

:D

CT, if you stay away from the bottle of scotch, the door is quite easy to open.

:D

Choices, choices.

Yes it does. It would be fine if it sprang open when you slid the catch but it doesn't, it just stays there. So you tilt the camera trying to get it to open with the assistance of gravity, but the battery door isn't heavy enough anyway. It needs a little indent or something at one end of the flap so you can open it more easily. :baby:

 thank goodness for the darkside!

Mine seems to pop open happily enough too.....(The grip before Janice gets her hands on that comment!)

Cheers though CT - you've just reminded me to charge my batteries! :D

LOL same grip...ya jam filled sugary treat :p

I suppose you do deserve it after letting me hold your 20D and grip, with the 100-400L on a couple of years ago, when I had my 350, no grip, and my sigma lens.

Handing it back to you then picking mine up made me cry :'( lol

LOL Oh yeah.... same grip. I'm missing a springy thing then?

Having just opened mine up to get the batteries out to charge I had the chance to check it...mine does spring open, but only a little - it's just enough that you can easily open it right out by dragging the pad of your thumb over it though, if that makes sense?

Sounds deserved to me though CT - fancy making poor ickle Marcel cwy...! :shake:

Well I felt much the same after I picked up Matt's 1DS MK2 the same day. ;)

Hmmm...kit envy - it's a terrible thing! ;)

Good point.

I bet Matt didn't do any crying that day did he? Maybe we should have kicked him or something.

Sounds like your springy thing has come undone?

You need a new one - mine springs nicely :D :naughty:

Ahhh... Nikon...

Suppose Nikon has to offer SOMETHING in return for having crappy noise levels and poor white balance...

 :D :D
