2015 Photo52 Challenge : WEEK 52 we finally made it and its "Christmas" into the bargain

Really like your bliss image, you composed the shot very well and the lighting is spot on for me. I also love your image for companion, it fits the theme perfectly and the lighting helps convey a sense of sadness having gave up your pool cue.

Would you mind sharing your lighting setup?

I have a feeling another animal, may just be making an appearance this week too :D
 
Phew, nearly caught up with my pics, just scenic still to do. Will catch up on comments in the week folks. In the meantime happy togging:banana:

Well... I've had a busy weekend, not much free time so I am now going to 'shoehorn' a shot in that I have taken for something else, I will use it as a placeholder, with the hope of getting something a bit more apt in the week... maybe :D
 
We are all concentrating trying to out do one another in the images thread :D
Well maybe some are, some of us are trying to hang on by a thread :D
 
Don't know about anyone else but I've been busy playing with lights, to come up with this weeks entry, hoping for a couple of different ones this time

So this is where they are - I thought we were having a break from them in the staffroom :D

Been a horrendous two weeks at work and I can't believe how quickly I've gone from being on top of popping into threads and commenting to being massively behind again !!!
Will try to get myself sorted and give some feedback and encouragement this week.

When members start to struggle, some can drop out.

You have options: miss this week's theme and move on to next weeks, sit in a dark room and concentrate on the theme ;) or as several other do (but not me :)) shoehorn something in :naughty:

But remember, it's supposed to be fun :banana:

In the few weeks I have been doing this, I have found that most of the themes are subjective, as is photography, what looks great to one person , looks pants to another. The thing to bear in mind is that this is your challenge and they are your photos. So I guess my point is find something that you find elegant and stuff everyone else :D Oh and don't forget theres alway the Wild Card :P

As Andy rightly says, have fun :banana:
 
I can only echo what Chris and Andy have said.

The themes are only there really to give you a bit of inspiration and get you out there shooting something.
If your thought process when you see the theme takes you way outside of what everyone else does, then so what?
There may be a little teasing about shoe-horning a photo in, but it's all in good humour - the important thing is that you've got out there with the camera, received feedback on your shot and hopefully learnt something in the process.

And if life or lack of inspiration does get in the way and you end up missing a week, it's really not the end of the world.
Pick up from the next week and carry on :)

* Personally, I preferred the old days when I could forcibly lock you in a dark room to think about a theme and not let you out until you had an idea - but Dark Knight and Andy tell me that it's against your human rights and I'm not allowed to do that any more :(
