2015 Photo52 Challenge : WEEK 52 we finally made it and its "Christmas" into the bargain

The link to the forum signatures doesn't appear to work.

Anyone else having problems?
When I click on it (for example, the PNG version : http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/gallery/photos/logo1.8393/ ) I get what you can see in the screenshot below and can choose to either download it from the TP gallery or use the code under the "Share Option".

Not sure if I'm seeing something that you guys aren't though because I have different access levels

Thinking of joining again this year, didn't manage very well last year and dropped out.
Shall I, shan't I, shall I?
Let's give it a go!

Hi all!

Been away from the site for a while, thinking about picking the camera back up and of course the 52 challenge sprang to mind :-)

Hope everyone is well and has a good Christmas. Good luck to all 52ers old and new!!

Hey Alex - is this a welcome back then or a pop in visit ?? :)

Quick question; when is first official theme going up (I know about the practice one)?

If we post a photo and wish we'd posted a different one (or the same photo taken in a different way), are we aloud to edit out post?

Hi Mike.
Replied in your thread too, but of course you are!

What people normally do is leave both photos up and explain the thinking behind why they changed their mind - it helps with the discussion in your thread and as part of the learning process for everyone :)

Thank you :) I'll just add a bit more to my edit explaining why like on my thread. Thanks again.

Just don't get it wrong in the first place :p

(Or send a few fivers in a brown envelope
and no one will ever know except me :D )

Right here goes!! I'm in for another go this year - I completed the 52 in 2012 :) but had to pull out in this years :( Though I have been helping Peter with some of his!

Good luck to everyone taking part this year!!
That's great news, welcome back Sarah

Hey guys, I attempted the 2012 52, got about 8 weeks in and bailed. Gonna give it a much better shot this year as I know how beneficial it can be.

Good luck to everyone and lets see what this year brings
Welcome back Phil, good luck with 2015

Hi, can I join in the fun too? it sounds like just what I need to get me using my camera again

It's brilliant. I've only done one (this year's) but I can happily say it's one of the best ways to see your photography develop.

Sign on up and we look forward to your submissions...

Only difficulty I'm wrestling with is I have a few ideas for Patterns, but I really must finish off the 2014 52 first so I need to get my skates on and submit something for the final theme there - Support. Grrr!

Welcome to the 52 Lorraine, I've added you to the spreadsheet, good luck with your challenge

If you get this flash up in your email, you should be able to tell quite quickly ;)

(It's in the title of the thread and that gets updated every week!)

It's possibly changed since I last completed it in 2012 - no email ! So there no practice 'theme' as such for this's week then ?

Sorry, I meant the alert that you might have received when I replied to the thread... anyway, to cut to the chase the practice theme is "Patterns", which Sarah has referenced in the title to this thread. She does that each week (amends the title) and the first you often know about that is when someone replies "oooh!" or some such... the first few times I opened the email, I was thinking, "well that's no bl**dy help, what's the theme??" without realising i needed to look at the title!

@David Tennant - it's your challenge so you can do it any way you wish :)

Many people prefer to shoot new images for each theme but I think most of us at some stage have been guilty of using an archive image when needs must.
Nice, I do plan on shooting a new photo every week but not sure if I will get one done by Friday. I'll maybe hold off and if I see something I'll submit the new one.
I did see some lovely frost patterns in my garden on Sunday but stupidly never went and got my camera.
