2013 Photo52 Challenge : WEEK 52 Water

I think we are all doing well just being in it - Keep going guys n gals :clap:

And I WILL start catching up on comments soon, just need to see if I can salvage a reflection image out of the shots I did sunday, thinking it will be my next re-shoot candidate !!!

Hi, I'm having all sorts of internet issues right now! I can access the internet just fine but photos cause a serious hang up:razz: I think I'm close to quitting this year purely due to my lack of ability to comment!

Obviously I won't quit but I'm very apologetic for still not being able to comment!

I got my Live shot last night, well about 50 actually! The military put on a concert to launch the Poppy Appeal, so got a free concert with the Saturdays and a few others.

Just need to edit and persuade my internet to work and upload them!

Have you seen the weather forecast for Sunday? I know it's meant to be Sunday evening but there be storms a brewing!

Melt sounds ok, just the previous 8 I'm struggling with :bang: slowly catching up and will post once I'm up to date in order of topics. If this was school my report would say 'must try harder' :D

I have a reflection image to post (edited also but thinking of a different take), but due to recent time restrictions I have done my images and fallen well behind in commenting Soooo

I have got the sheet up to date and decided to comment on and try catch up on the latest posters, I'll do that over the next posters until I have caught up (Well thats my latest idea :D)

Just a live shot and my melt to get... so not far off now !!!!
 
I am SO far behind on both shots and commenting... I think I have all the shots prior to MELT (?????) but have to bring them together and choose. And the commenting mountain is now so daunting, I don't even know how to start! My apologies; I will make some progress soon...

Of course, i'm a Pilot under training, I never stop looking at the weather charts!

This morning I predicted the rain would stop when we arrived at the woods and not return until we were back in the car and I got it spot on! home for half an hour and the rain started again... :nuts: Got some reasonable fungi shots first attempts so not great but I learned a bit for next time so I'm happy with that.

I'm looking forward to doing my "melt" shot, can anyone guess what I will be melting... eh? :naughty:

Regarding the commenting Chris, the way I see it is just jump back in when you can and forget the catch up, as far as I'm concerned we are here to help each other, which we do when we can. It shouldn't end up holding people back because they become overwhelmed. it's hard enough to keep up with the pictures. ;)

Had a reasonable day today and think I have 7 of 9 so another 2 then I can post in order, some might be a bit tenuous though :D
 
Hello all and :clap: for still being here......:)

Been away the the weekend and on one day went to Edinbrugh. Went into the national gallery and happened upon The Kiss. I'm a fan so spent some time looking at is and they do seem to have melted together. Got a few photographs but due to it being a small room the DOF was too wide and there was no separation.

I have another idea that will either work or will be a long epic fail.

Sorry, 'things' took over for a few months and I've been off the forum pretty much since May. I had a couple more themes to post but I'm so far behind now I'm not sure whether the best plan is to keep trying to post themes in order from week 12, pick up from now, or just wait until next January and try again. I suspect the latter isn't the best course of action though, as I'll be even more out of the routine!

I'm going to have a plough through the photos thread and enjoy viewing what you've all been doing since May, though.

Ooh not sure that i like the new forum. Couldn't find this thread for some time.
Also, used to have different folders for diff threads being watched e.g anything to do with the 52 was in a separate folder to other threads being watched. This helped me a lot. Does this not exist now?
 
Just a note: The links are broken at the moment from the OLD forum posts in the pictures thread. The new post that I put in there [week 43: Cheese ;)] works but all the others say "The requested forum could not be found." The same happens with the links at the beginning of my '52. I have notified the authorities, I'm sure it will be looked into along with all the other bug reports.

Also: Early indications show promise that next weeks theme could well be "Cows":D
Also Also: I heard a rumour that DK will be porting the spreadsheet from google docs to a new Nikon based spreadsheet system that uploads your tick direct from your Nikon camera. Thanks DK that WOULD be handy...:cool:

Someone is determined to stop me taking part in this 52. I had superb wifi a few days ago, alas it was the hour they crossed the forum over to the new look :mad: :bonk:Dam and blast!

I've got some shots to upload, going to try and get them up this weekend before I pack my pc off on holiday to Cyprus! Only 12 days left in this country:woot:
 
There's a little number with a # sign, bottom right of the post (#1626 in your last post). This is a link that I copied to paste buffer, then pasted into the link tool thingy! Very clear, eh? Sorry.

The smilies are below the box you typed your message in.
When you press the smiley icon at the top of the box, they appear below, you have to scroll down to find them.
Similarly, the link icon is on the toolbar also.

That's the problem Iain...they were'nt showing on my home pc when using IE10...the tool bar icon had done a runner.....now sorted by logging in using Chrome ( which is horrid, the work of the devil , horrid!).Strange thing is it works ok on my netbook which is also using IE10 yet I haven't done anything to my pc other than turn it off/on....which is probably where the problem started :lol:

Oh right, I can't help there sorry, this is on an iPad, my main computer is a mac so both obviously different o/s.
It has taken a while to get to hang of the new forum but I am sure it will click........eventually

Cheers Marsha....I've had quite enough puter faffing for 1 evening....hate downloading new stuff in case it all goes horribly pete tong so will live with Chrome for the time being ...the tool bar was on TP that allows you to find smilies & post links etc

Not long till you flit now...hope it's all going ok for you :thumbs:
