2013 Photo52 Challenge : WEEK 52 Water

Juxtaposition.......asked my husband what does it mean. His reply....'is it something sexual' !!???!! I soon put him right! :-)

Juxtaposition. Well, I guess it can't be any worse than gluttony. When do we get to the easy ones, like "dog"? :)

Hahaha, eggs are the new stones!

I just have to say.....

AAAGGGGHHHHHHHH excited!

I hit the big 4 0 on Wednesday and asked for some camera stuff. I am disappointed that yet again my hubby didn't get me what I wanted. Instead he bought me a brand new Canon 5D III  how very rude!!!!

Guess that's me paying catch up this week as I have to learn how to use it :D
Belated birthday wishes Marsha :)

Now then.... if the 5d is not to youe desire I'll take it off your hands :D

Juxtaposition.... **** crap [PLEASE DON'T TRY TO BYPASS THE SWEAR FILTER] **** **** ****** and many more :help:

Not belated yet, I'm 39 until Wednesday! Just had an early birthday as he's away during the week!

I'll keep you in mind DK should I not get on with it ;)

Happy birthday in advance Marsha...thats a hubby in a million you got there

God... what a bloody week this has been :(

Week? I'm thinking year! I'm so busy I've given up doing anything as I am tangent'tastic, I start doing something then boom, I forget and end up doing something ludicrous like cleaning the oven :help:

But I have caught up on two weeks of photos this week. Just thinking about this week and maybe commenting on some threads:shrug:

Really struggling with this theme. No inspiration. Don't know if I'm over thinking it. If nothing sorted in next 12 hours or so looks like I may be playing catch up next week :-)

Over thinking could be it, sometimes I do it too much, just do a google image search for juxtaposition, plenty of inspiration to be had there.

That said, I am probably going to be posting time, juxtaposition and the next theme together, I just can't seem to think of ideas either.

Agree. We all want the WOW photographs but sometimes 7 days simply isn't enough time.

Post and be damned I say, then move onto the next week.

Don't get :bang:

Cheers.

Right Michael & Andy...post and be damned it is
and look forward to new topic tomorrow :D

I have to say that for me part of the challenge is to post within the week. The idea being that I keep on shooting something every week... I failed on "time" (ironic I know) so I wont be posting one for that, going to save the theme for a re-shoot week.

From googling juxtaposition Marsha, I must say the penny dropped for me. I just hope I can get something in London, now I have said it appeals

I think this is mainly down to observation and for the right moment to happen, otherwise I will probably use eggs again ;)

Well.....I put the poison tongue on my take on this weeks theme

I had an idea in mind in London, Kings Cross Station to be precise, asked a PCSO if photography is ok, they said yes so long as I dont use flash on the platform :cuckoo: but I could get a badge from some office to say ok.
Went to said office, met initially with a blank look, followed by "you can't use a tripod unless I get Network Rail to email the bloke in the office"
Me: "So if I don't use a tripod I dont need their permission?"
Bloke in office: "You still need permission if you have a camera which has screw in zoom type lenses" or if it looks like a professional camera because we dont know what you'll do with the pictures.
I gave up in the end, so will probably get something tomorrow for the theme.
Work has got in the way again this week :(

 Lots of choices with this one, now my brain wont have to work overtime this week

Good luck getting all 3 themes done today Michael!

Couldn't you just sneak in and do is anyway? Pull out your own id and blag that you got permission :naughty: :whistling:

Either way, welcome to the late brigade :)

It's not worth the grief Marsha to be honest.
I had a look last night and on second thoughts it wasn't quite what I had envisaged.
We are heading towards a blakester default photograph for juxtaposition ;)

Letter we had that last year too.
I need to try and come up with something different.

Good luck and well done everyone for still being here

Letter, I'll have to Google that one ;)

Sometimes the easier ones can be quite hard.

We're in double digits everyone!

Cheers.

Hi Iain

I was on Preston station last week for my 'time' shot - there for about an hour with no probs. Did not inform anyone but was quite open and not questioned.

I looked at this before i went : http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/passenger_services/guidelines_for_rail_enthusiasts.html
which is an encouragement.

Still - not London was it. :D

Thanks for the link Allan, that is encouraging, it certainly doesn't mention anything about 'professional' cameras ;)

i got the impression he was making it up as he went along.

I wasn't that bothered in the end, I dropped in on finishing work, it was a very long day and thought I'd try on the off chance before driving home but not to be. c'est la vie

Week? I'm thinking year! ......
Well yeah, think you have something there

.....
Work has got in the way again this week :(
Again a common theme... it was busy last year but this is even worse !!!!

Letter - now that is an easy one, but probably too easy, I MUST think of a different take

Hi all,

Sorry i've been MIA.. 'work' scuppered me, literally!.. Not been feeling very well either.. Looks like I have some catching up to do..

Hi all

woohoo...double figures now..won't take long to reach the 1/4 way mark now .

Well done to all who are still hanging on in here

Letter....not long since we had this same theme last year...& I still can't think of an original idea for it...might be another letterbox pano from me...I ned the practice

Well I've been at the NIA today to see the badminton and took my shot for the week. As usual a little tweaking in LR will be needed but I don't think I'll get round to it until later in the week unfortunately

I thought I would jump on this year, never done anything like all the links, etc. do not know, but I'm sure the old man's hand, I can let my right, if you go astray. If nothing else, this will let my thoughts and camera clicks, and want to have some fun
