The repair document did say that refurbished parts could be used. I had seen online about them failing again within a few months. Even multiple times. One post I was reading sonewhere someone in the uk had to return it 3 times with the same issue. In the endvthey replaced it with a 2014 model.
Just hope it lasts a good few months or dies again very soon. As im away to china for 3 weeks at the end of march and need it to store my images on when im there and to give me something to do at nights.
Going to back it all up tmr when I have some free time with the lids at school.
