First time i've ever done this ( or heard of it )

do you post a new thread every week or just add pic 2 to week 1's thread.
Would the thread get a little long then if people comment on your previous weeks, by the time we get 40/50 weeks in ?

ALso what day is the next week 'subject announced and where ?

It's up to you, however most people add pic 2 to week's 1 thread and change the title of the thread. After about 6 months you can't change the title anymore so again most people last year started a part 2 thread.

The length doesn't matter as the forum knows the last post you saw on every thread and there is a button that let's you jump to the first unread post. This really helps people who like commenting on all pics but have missed a week or two.

Most weeks the theme will be announced on Sunday although this week I'm posting the theme today so watch out for it

Just to add to what Simon has said, it makes sense to have all your pics in a single [or two] threads, so that come the end of the year and in the future you can look back on it much more easily and see how you did rather than looking for 52 different threads. There is a sub-forum within the General Photo Sharing especially for these personal challenge types threads too, so they are all in one place.
