200AW Slingshot

Would be interested in this too I have exactly the same gear, I'm looking for a bag that will take both with easy access and minimum fuss.

I tried one today in jessops, it fitted my D700 with a Tamron 17-35mm attached with a little more room at the end, couldn't say for definite about yours though as i'm unsure of the size, but i could also fit the Nikon 70-300mm unattached across the top with a bit of configuring of the panel, also got a Tamron 28-75mm in there too :)
 
I've got one and can get my D80 with the 70-300vr attached. Hope that helps

I think those bags are padded enough that fitting snug doesn't have to be a problem. Anyway, at least you got it sorted out.

(that was with the much larger 70-200/2.8 IS)

The 200 AW can hold plenty of gear....

mine fits a 40D with grip and lens
it's a bit short with the sigma 50-150 on it but it fits
the 70-300 IS fits in more easily

mine opens frmo the side though so the first flap opening mounts straight through for ease of access
