Does anyone know where I can buy a 2-pin (USA) plug for a Macbook Pro magsafe?

I can't find anywhere in the UK that stocks them!

Sorry...should have been clear that I meant a physical shop. Heading away at the weekend so can't wait for post!

How often are you likely to use it after this trip? Only asking because a travel adaptor is likely to be a few quid to convert the plug on the one you have or the replacement cable (being proprietary by the looks of it) is likely to be a lot more than a few...

USA 2-pin (I did say in my original post...but it's quite a dull topic so I'll let you off!)

A generic adapter like that is my backup plan, but would prefer to get an adapter to fit directly onto the magsafe if possible. It seems maybe not!

Your least worst option in terms of buying one is likely to be "there" - unless there's an Apple Store you can pop into before you go... but they'll no doubt charge you a premium versus what an Apple Store will charge you "there".

I found mine in my desk at work. Result! Although I mainly use it for my airport express as Japanese hotels don't seem to have wifi.

since our macbooks are US, most of our plugs are US ones. We bought the worldwide plug adapter kit from apple when we first got them since we travel a lot.Just clip on and off from the main adapter box.

There are times still though that we need more of the 'correct' plugs for whatever reason. I have no hesitation using the various plug adaptors as needed. In fact, putting a UK 3-pin plug into an adaptor with a US 2-pin out the back is a very solid system mechanically and works really well.

Thanks,
Rick
