2 iPhones, 1 iTunes Account

Yes you can either create separate playlists for each device and then set that device to synchs with that playlist - called 4s and 5s for example or have the same for both devices

Is there a limit on devices you can add into one account Marc ?

Sorry lol I should perhaps of put the question to Neil_g  I lost all my music off my 3GS I was hoping to add more and just use it as a iPod :(

I think it is 10 and there's also Family Sharing which allows you to control multiple devices within a single family. Do take care to make sure that does what you want it to before converting your account.

If you are talking about local synchronisation via a cable to your computer then I haven't encountered a limit yet. But only had it up to about 30 devices.

I haven't tried it when entering the credentials for Apple Music or Match or iCloud with more than 5.

Hi guys thanks for feedback I connected my old 3GS which had a lot of music on it over the last few years and good old iTunes wiped all my music off plus a number of apps:( Thing is I was hoping to put more it to use as a iPod !
I also have a lot of music on my old ipad 1 but reluctant to connect to iTunes incase it does the same

Disable automatic synchronisation. It could be something else but I bet it was that.

You can only sync with one iTunes library at a time, this is a limitation imposed by the record companies to stop you filling up your iPod with other people's libraries.

Music and apps purchased from iTunes can now be re-downloaded at no additional cost. This does not apply to audiobooks.
If you are worried about losing stuff, there are utilities that will extract the music from an iPod without using iTunes.
