Morning,

Now that I have got two bodies, lenses and flashes I find that my current bag just isn't big enough. I have been looking at the Tamrac Pro 12 but wondered if there was anything else that I should be looking at of a similar size.

Cheers

Nick

What is the use of the bag?

To carry the gear I need when on shoots, either weddings or portraits etc. For family days out I will use a smaller bag and ration myself!!

Guess I should add that I would prefer a shoulder bag for ease of putting down as a back pack is more difficult to get on and of quickly.

Have you looked at www.cambags.com as that may/will give you some idea on whats what or whats suitable...

I had a Tamrac Ultra Pro 13 when I started building up my collection. It's big enough for 2 bodies with small to medium zooms attached and 3 or 4 extra lenses and a couple of flashguns. However it ended up being too small when I added a Canon 70-200 and a Sigma 150-500 OS.

I've now got a Tamrac Super Pro 14, which I had to get from the US, and that's bigger. I can fit a gripped 5D3 with the Sigma 150-500 OS and a gripped 7D with a Sigma 24-70 2.8 HSM or similar sized lens. Along with those I can fit the 70-22 2.8 IS L, a 24-105 f4 L, a 100 L macro and 3 small primes and a couple of flashguns and there's still room in there for a few more bits and pieces. It's a great bag but it's definitely not cheap.

Yes had been looking on there but I guess I wanted to check I hadn't missed anything and any real life experience.

Thanks I will have a look at that

I've recently got a Tamrac Pro 13 and it takes 2 x D3S's each with a short zoom or prime attached (85 f1.4 or 24 f1.4) it will also take a 70-200 f2.8 a couple of SB800's, big battery pack, charger and lots more.

I too went for a Tamrac though an older model, a Cyberpack 8. It swallows a lot of gear, including two gripped bodies and around six lenses with lots of places for SD cards, spare batteries etc. and a laptop. Obviously with this much gear in it does get heavy but is surprisingly comfortable with its wide straps and clips.

Hope you can find the one that suits you
