Hi People

Several years ago as I was walking round the local boot sale ( Remember them ? ) I noticed a Canon EOS 5
sitting on a table along with a 35-80 1:4-5.6 EF lens

Out of politeness I had to ask the price , The lady said £5 OK ? , I asked if it worked and the answer was " Well it did when put in the loft many years ago "
I had a quick look and it seemed OK , No battery fitted , Ho Hum ? do I or don't I , Well I was in , £5 paid and of I went , Oh it had a Canon red strap as well , Got home and hunted out a 2CR5 battery I had in the draw , Fitted and NOTHING it was dead , The camera was then shelved , Over the next few years I kept bumping into said camera thinking Bin it ? or keep it ? Well it escaped the cull several times , Then after suggesting to a TP member that he tested the battery with a meter I though practice what you preach , So out with the meter , Test the battery and it was totaly dead , not recording any voltage at all

Ordered a new battery and hey presto it sprang into life :)

Now I need to find a manual as looking through the film windo it looks like it has some 800 ASA film I need to rewind or at lease find a way of checking the body is set to 800 asa ?

Remember folks check you battery's with a meter :ty::film:
