I have had a play about with some RAW images using DPP, unfortunately I didn't specify a size, so they are averaging 8 MB's, but it looks like I can just process them again.
I am wondering if I should just shoot just RAW and if you do that, do you keep a RAW & JPEG copy on your computer or leave it till you need to print them or upload them ?
Do all RAW images need tinkering with, as some of mine looked okay ?
I don't think I want to keep shooting in the RAW and JPEG mode as it seems a waste of space, which I expect could become an issue in the future, though I do have plans for a couple of TByte drives.

Just wondering how others deal with the RAW images ?

I don't bother with jpeg if I'm shooting raw, just import the raw files onto the PC in a folder path based on year, month, shoot name. Important shoots are also backed up to DVD at that point in addition to normal backups to ext. drives.

Any shot that need to go online, printed, etc. are processed and exported to a new folder path for exported files.

Not every raw file needs any extra processing, getting it right in camera is always a good thing

Thanks for that, I think I will try just shooting RAW for a while.
