1d mkiv 3.0 LCD blank screen

After yesterdays downpour my 1d mkiv 3.0 LCD screen appears to hae died. arghh..... apart from that everything else works ok, and top and lower rear info displays are fine. still takes photos and can adjust settings, just cant view any menus or playback pics in lcd screen any ideas ?

Coincidence? I had a 1D4 do exactly that to me a couple of weeks ago. After the lightest drizzle and a wipe dry, screen packed up after a couple of minutes. Everything else fine. Completely bolloxed a trip to Skomer island I'd planned for months. As it happens, the weather was so bad the boat didn't sail anyway LOL

It was a loan camera, back with Canon now.
