1D MKII or 50D

I see the 50D and a second hand 1D MkII are *roughly* the same price. Which one would you go for, and why?

I think I'd go for 50D unless you really want the lightning fast AF of a 1D. I have a 1DII and the 40D already has better image quality and I'd expect the 50D to further improve that. But, if all your shots are out of focus on the 50D, then it won't help!

The only thing that would sway me towards a 1DMKII would be a need for the faster AF and the extra AF points. If you don't need those then 50D every time IMO

I like the 1 series build, 100% viewfinder and the AF

1 series for the build and af, 50d for the updated technology. both take good images, assuming they're pointed and controlled appropriately by the user
