1D mk2 v 40D ?

I have two 1Dmk2s and as I am doing a lot of wildlife I was wondering about selling one of them and getting a 40D to give me a tighter FOV.

I don't know if I'm thinking right or if I've gone mad, so any thoughts and ideas welcome.

Or maybe a 50D I know some of the Aviation guys are going with it because of the crop and pixel count !

I had thought of that but as with a lot of people at the moment money is tight so I would only have what I got for the Mk2.

I would however be open to a swap for a 50D
