17-40 ordered

After much pondering between the Canon 17-40 and the new version of the Sigma 18-50 I finally plumped for the Canon. I don't think I've ever changed my mind so much over a lens purchase.

In the end the Canon won because later in the year I hope to add a second body and when I do it will be a 1D (possibly the mkIII if funds allow) and that put the 1.6 crop Sigma out of the running.

Aye, it's a sexy lens. Quite robust too although I have a couple of tiny salt burns on the front from excessive exposure to the sea. The lens that is.
