If a car is on a 13 reg then what months in 2013 could it be registered in? Looking at a new car for the wife and wondered if it was closer to 3 year old and needing an mot or closer to just over 2 years old...Cheers...

1-3 to 1-9 started with an 0 for 03 for example.
1-9 to 1-3 started with a 5 eg 53 for example..

now up to 65. If the first digit is 5 or above take 50 off for the year, and apply the above.

Even if it's a private plate the car will still be no older than March 1 2013 but could be newer if that's the case.
