10m TTL sync cords.....

Kris, good spot. Probably all come from the same factory anyway but good to know YY has its own fleabay page.....

I find that you don't need to get the flash that far off axis to have successful 3 dimensional OCF photography.

Tell me a better way of getting High Speed sync outside in a bright, sunny conditions, and I'm all ears...

its not just about the above.

what if I had a subject 5m in front of me and I want a light directly from the side of them?

It give a lot more scope for creative possibilities.

I wasn't talking about the general need for off camera flash (which is obviously best served with a radio trigger), but the need for high speed sync off camera in bright light.

At 20 to 30 times the cost of this lead? My VAL would hold the other end, and would only be used in specific circumstances.

And not without their problems, I assisted a pro the other day who was trying them out on loan from PW, and while we were both generally impressed, we couldn't get them to work reliably at any distance with high speed sync.

I wish they worked, honestly. Id start saving today.

Bear in mind that it's 10M of lead coiled. So it wont stretch 10M probably might make half of that id you are lucky, and that's also a lot of tension "coiled" up in the lead.

Please post if they work when you (someone) gets one to try :)

I've got some 3.6 metre ones on the way (different make though), if I can get the 10m ones at a decent price I'll bring some of those in too - then I can link 10 together and get the same range as a set of wireless triggers

when it comes to flash systems, canon users have NO say in what's good ;)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PIXEL-TR-331-...ories_CameraFlashUnits_JN?hash=item1c0ebb83db I'm wondering if this has the capabilities to take the 'on camera' master off camera wirelessly, which would give you three remote channels on CLS without using a SU800... dave hobby promised to update stuff but iirc it hasn't happened yet...

The unbiased reviews (ie the American ones) aren't exactly glowing given the suggested £100+ retail price tag in the UK. If it was me (and it is) I'd be waiting to see what the YongNuo ones will be like....;)

10m Nikon one would be good for me Graham  ;)
