2 weeks short of 3 years ago I stumbled across this little corner of the internet and walked in. I never left and pretty much made it my home. The welcome was always warm, the humour light hearted, the knowledge freely shared and the lessons passed on.

Since then I have met so many members I have lost count, organised a national meet and of course was very honoured to be made a moderator.

TP has grown massively in those 3 years and has changed a lot too, but the underlying ethos is still there.

So, this is my 10,000th post, in a year when I am finally moving from a keen enthusiast that gets paid ocasionally, to a 'Pro' [ a word for which the ONLY valid significance is that I have to tell the taxman when someone wants me to wave a camera at them] and I want to use it to say a huge thankyou to Marcel, Matty and Brian for giving us such a fantastic forum, and to the rest of the staff for the fantastic job they do, but most of all to you lot, for the laughs, the encouragement, the friendship and the fun. To all the guys and girls I have met and the ones I will meet and the ones that I might never meet but are here anyway, I raise a huge big glass of one of Islay's finest to you guys.

A huge milestone, and every post welcomed on here. You've been a brilliant contributor since day one (which is why we nabbed you as a mod before someone else did :lol: )

Seriously, thanks for every single minute you've spent on the forums, it's greatly appreciated, both as a moderator, but also equally importantly as a member too.

Like John has said, long may your stay and your posts continue!
PS, You can have my Islay, I'm up early so I'll have a cuppa instead :p

Quite a long way to catch up!
But seriously, since joining last year, the information, advice, comments, pics that I have seen on here have been invaluable to me as an always learning photographer.

It's been great to get to know you as a friend over the last few years.

You'll always be the lady who introduced me to an Islay Malt that was akin to sucking a piece of charcoal out the bbq :lol:

Blimey, 3 years! Has it been that long! (It appears im only 4 members younger!)

TP doesn't seem to have changed much since then, a few more people and new names (plus a faster server :p) but it's still the helpful, friendly place it used to be. :)

I reckoned 10k deserved a bit of abuse of moderator rights until a misery git came along and shifted it :p :D


Thankyou again, all of you, its been a blast so far, and I am damn sure its going to continue to be so...and of course, is probably responsible for Yves Gezas depleted bank account but also him just about maintaining a grip on reality :lol:
